Donna French, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, in the loving company of her family. Born on November 5, 1943, in Chicago, IL, Donna was the beloved daughter of Gus and Marie Spirakes. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering kindness. Donna's journey was marked by her boundless devotion to her family, including her three children, Michael French, Debbie Morrissette, and John French. She found immense joy in the lives and accomplishments of her grandchildren—James Cohoon, Michael French, Benjamin and Madison Morrissette, and Joseph and Taylor French—and her great-grandchildren JC, Carli, Adam, and Hayden Cohoon. Her legacy of love and warmth will forever endure in the hearts of those she touched. Throughout her life, Donna demonstrated extraordinary strength and grace, even as she faced her battle with lung cancer. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with those who have gone before. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Donna’s life, as per the wishes of her family. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the Hospice staff for their compassionate care during Donna’s final days. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Donna’s memory may do so by donating to a charity of their choice, reflecting her spirit of generosity and care for others.
