Dunn, North Carolina - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Donna Elliott, who peacefully departed this world on March 24, 2026, at the age of 72. Born to John and Geincey McKeithan on March 10, 1954, in the small, close-knit community of Dunn, NC, Donna’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Donna was known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and incredible strength, which she carried throughout her life. Her nurturing nature and warm smile could light up any room, bringing comfort and joy to everyone she encountered. As the matriarch of her family, Donna dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting those she loved, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and unwavering faith.
She was preceded in death by her dear parents, John and Geincey McKeithan, whose values and teachings she carried forward, and her cherished sister, whose memory she held close to her heart.
Donna is survived by her loving children, who were the pride and joy of her life: Daphne Oates and her husband Chris, Fredericka Johnson and her husband Kendrick, and Frederick Elliott, Jr. and his wife Candice. Her legacy continues through her eight adoring grandchildren and three precious great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her gentle spirit and boundless love.
Family was the cornerstone of Donna’s life, and she was never happier than when surrounded by her loved ones. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, love, and the irresistible aroma of her famous Southern cooking—an art she mastered, much to the delight of her family and friends.
Donna faced her medical challenges with grace and courage, never allowing them to dampen her spirit or diminish her resolve. She was a source of strength and inspiration to those around her, embodying resilience and determination.
A service to celebrate Donna's extraordinary life will be held on March 27, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the profound impact she had on all who knew her. Although she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Donna’s memory to a charity of your choice, as a testament to her generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
As we say goodbye to Donna, we hold tightly to the lessons she taught us: to love deeply, to live fully, and to cherish the moments we have with those we hold dear. Her legacy of love will continue to be a guiding light for generations to come.
