In Loving Memory

Donna Bacon
January 26, 1938 — March 20, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Donna Bacon, who departed this world on March 20, 2026, at the age of 88, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 26, 1938, in the serene landscapes of South Jersey, Donna was a true beacon of love, strength, and resilience to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought wisdom, and her love touched countless lives.
The cherished daughter of Bruce Bacon and Ruth Denobal, Donna was raised in a home filled with warmth and strong values that she carried with her throughout her life. She graduated from Salem High School, where she began to shape the compassion, kindness, and empathy that would define her character for years to come.
In her early years, Donna was married to Don from 1950 to 1952. Though their time together was brief, it was one of the many experiences that contributed to the journey of her life and the strength of the woman she became.
Donna dedicated much of her life to raising her two beloved sons, a role she embraced with unwavering devotion, sacrifice, and unconditional love. She worked as a cleaning lady, demonstrating an incredible work ethic and quiet determination to provide for her family. She never complained, always putting the needs of others before her own, and found pride in the life she built for those she loved.
A proud and faithful member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Donna’s faith served as a guiding light throughout her life. It gave her strength in difficult times and gratitude in joyful ones. She found peace in prayer and comfort in her beliefs, which she carried with grace and humility.
Donna found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether she was knitting something special for a loved one or tending to her garden, she poured care and love into everything she did. Her home was always welcoming—a place where family gathered, stories were shared, and laughter filled the air.
Her legacy lives on through her family, whom she loved more than anything. She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a devoted great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be held close for generations. Known for her warmth, patience, and strength, Donna made everyone around her feel supported, valued, and deeply loved. Her generosity, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Donna’s life and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a cancer research organization of your choice, in honor of Donna’s brave fight and her hope that others may one day be spared from similar battles.
Donna Bacon’s life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and compassion. She taught us the true meaning of family, strength, and selflessness. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we say goodbye, we find comfort in the love she gave so freely and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
