Danny was the cherished son of Jeremiah and Eda Stephens, who predeceased him and have now welcomed him into eternal rest. His journey through life was marked by resilience and an unwavering faith that guided him through all of life's challenges, including his courageous battle with cancer. Danny did not lose this battle; instead, he claimed victory as he was called home to rest, free from hurt, pain, and sadness. A man of infinite love and devotion, Danny shared a beautiful life with his beloved partner, Sheryl Straugh. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Danny's legacy lives on through his family, including his two treasured grandchildren, who were the light of his life and a source of immense pride. Those who knew Danny will remember him for his infectious smile, his generous spirit, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel important and valued, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Danny's life will be celebrated with a service on May 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the McWhite Funeral Home, located at 3501 West Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.
