Dong Kyu Lee

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Dong Kyu Lee (이동규), affectionately known as "Lee" to those who knew him best. Born on June 4, 1963, in South Korea, Lee departed this world on May 27, 2026, after a continuous battle with heart failure. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and dedication that will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Lee had dedicated over 25 years of his life to the retail and hospitality industries, where he held various management positions. His career was marked not only by his expertise and reliability but also by the friendships he forged with colleagues along the way. Lee had a unique ability to connect with people, and his colleagues remember him as a hard worker who always had time for a friendly chat or a shared laugh. A man of many passions, Lee was an avid sports fan. He eagerly followed seasons of football, basketball, golf, and more, never missing the chance to cheer on his favorite teams. His love for sports extended beyond the sidelines, as he actively participated in various sports with friends, always ready to try a new activity or challenge. Lee also had a talent for woodworking and delighted in home projects, where he skillfully crafted pieces that were as unique as him. Lee's quick wit and infectious smile could lighten any mood, and he was always ready to share a drink and a story, drawing people together with his warmth. Lee's laughter and light-hearted nature will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to share in his company. Lee is survived by his beloved children, Somi (and her husband, Laurence) and Cyrus, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a father who instilled in them the values of growth, perseverance, and humor. A viewing to honor and say farewell to Lee will be held on June 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Absolute Economical Funeral Home, located at 7721 NW 10th St STE B, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Family, friends, and all whose lives Lee touched are warmly invited to join. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Lee's colleagues and managers for their unwavering support during this challenging time. Though he may no longer walk among us, Dong Kyu Lee's laughter, love, and legacy will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
