Born on February 4, 1957, Donnie departed this world on May 3, 2026, at the age of 69, surrounded by his beloved family and cradled in the comfort of his own home. Donnie was the cherished son of the late Katherine Anthony (née Childress) and Everette Anthony, whose nurturing and love shaped the kind-hearted man he became. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dora LeAnn Anthony (née Beason), who stood by his side in love and partnership through the seasons of life. Together, they created a beautiful family, blessed with three children: Jessica Dawn Bartlow (née Anthony), Jason Shawn Anthony, and Troy Bliss Anthony, who carry forward his legacy with love and grace. A proud and loving grandfather, Donnie adored his two grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. His gentle spirit and generous heart will forever be remembered by all who knew him. Donnie dedicated his professional life to the construction industry, where he was a talented and highly skilled foreman. His work ethic and leadership left a lasting impression on those he worked with throughout his distinguished career until his well-earned retirement. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Donnie was a man of varied interests and passions. He found immense joy in writing, capturing the beauty of life through his words. A lover of adventure, he traveled extensively across the United States, exploring state parks and unique attractions with Dora and their faithful dog, Buddy, by his side. Antique shopping was a treasured pastime, where he delighted in discovering pieces of history to cherish. Known for his kindness, generosity, and thoughtful character, Donnie's life was a testament to the power of compassion and love. His warm smile and gentle demeanor touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Donnie's life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Woodward Funeral Home, located at 200 Fredericksburg Ave, Louisa, VA 23093. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor a life that brought so much light to the world.
