It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Donald Robinson, who left this world on June 18, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on December 12, 1966, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Myrtle and Wilbert Robinson, Donald was a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew him. Donald spent his formative years in Monroe, where he was imbued with the values of hard work and integrity by his loving parents. These values became the foundation of his 38-year career in construction, a field he poured his heart into, building not just structures but also a legacy of dedication and craftsmanship that will stand the test of time. A devoted husband to his beloved wife, Saundra, Donald was the pillar of his family, providing unwavering support and love. Together, they nurtured a home filled with laughter and warmth, raising three wonderful children, Robert, Demarcus, and Mya. Donald found immense joy in watching his children grow into the remarkable individuals they are today. Beyond his dedication to family and work, Donald was a man of simple pleasures. An avid fisherman, he spent countless hours on the open water, where he found solace and connection to nature. These moments of tranquility were his sanctuary, where he could reflect on life’s beauty and share stories of the ones he loved. His fishing tales, full of humor and adventure, were a testament to his zest for life. Donald was also a master of the grill, where he crafted not just meals but lasting memories. His barbecues were legendary, bringing together family and friends in joyous celebration. It was during these gatherings that Donald’s true gift shone brightest—his ability to bring people together, to create a sense of belonging and happiness that lingered long after the embers cooled. A proud grandfather to Legend and Lola, Donald cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. Whether it was teaching them to fish or sharing his secret barbecue sauce recipe, he imparted lessons of love, patience, and joy that will resonate through generations. Donald Robinson’s life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and community. His legacy is one of a life richly lived, surrounded by family, friends, and the natural world he so dearly loved. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, let us celebrate the indelible mark he left on our hearts and carry forward his spirit of kindness and generosity. Donald is survived by his wife, Saundra; his children, Robert, Demarcus, and Mya; his grandchildren, Legend and Lola; and a host of extended family and friends who were blessed to know him. He is now at peace, reunited with his parents, Myrtle and Wilbert, in eternal rest. A service to honor Donald’s life will be held on a date to be announced, where family and friends can gather to share memories, stories, and celebrate the life of a truly extraordinary man. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Donald’s name, to continue his legacy of giving and compassion. Rest in peace, Donald Robinson. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
