July 9, 2001 — October 24, 2026
In loving memory of Donald Marcum, whose vibrant, albeit brief, life touched the hearts of many. Born on July 9th, 2001, in Kokomo, Indiana, Donald was the cherished son of Zoah Peters and Donald Marcum. His journey through life, which ended on October 24th, 2026, was marked by an enduring spirit and a compassionate heart.
Donald was a proud graduate of Kokomo High School, class of 2020. His dedication to serving others was evident early on, as he committed himself to the U.S. Army from 2018 until 2024. Through these years, Donald developed a sense of duty and camaraderie, forming bonds that would last a lifetime.
Following his military service, Donald continued to serve his community as a forklift operator at Lowe's Home Improvement. He was known among his colleagues for his work ethic and his infectious, silly humor that brought light to even the most routine tasks.
A true lover of all things nerdy, Donald embraced his passions with enthusiasm and joy. Whether he was diving into a new comic book, engaging in spirited debates about fantasy lore, or attending conventions, he found immense joy in the vibrant world of imagination and creativity.
Donald will forever be remembered for his compassionate nature and kind spirit. His ability to connect with others and offer a listening ear made him a treasured friend to many. Despite the challenges he faced, Donald's warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
In accordance with the family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Donald's life. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to commemorate Donald's memory are encouraged to make a donation to a mental health organization of their choice, reflecting his enduring concern for the well-being of others.
Though he is no longer with us, the cherished memories of Donald Marcum will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find peace, and may his legacy of kindness and compassion continue to touch lives.
