July 10, 1979 — April 3, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Donald Lee Drenon, known fondly as Donnie, who left this world on April 3, 2026, due to a tragic car accident. Born on July 10, 1979, in Amarillo, Texas, Donnie's life was a testament to the vibrant spirit and warmth he shared with all who knew him. Donnie was the beloved son of Rick and Laura Blevins, who nurtured him in a home filled with love and laughter. He was an adventurous soul from the start, growing up surrounded by the expansive Texas skies that inspired his love for the outdoors. He graduated from Iowa Park High School, where he laid the foundation for a life rich with friendships and cherished memories. He found his calling in the construction industry, where he traveled extensively, leaving his mark in many states across the country. His work was not just a career but a testament to his dedication and craftsmanship, touching many lives and communities along the way. Donnie's greatest pride and joy were his children: Austin, Justin, Ricky, and Brook. He embraced fatherhood with an open heart and a playful spirit, always making time for fishing trips, shared jokes, and spirited games of pool. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to find joy in everyday moments was a gift he freely shared with his children. In addition to his children and parents, Donnie is survived by eight siblings, who remember him as the brother who always had a joke at the ready and a helping hand whenever needed. Though his sister Sherinda and nephews Kody, Johnathan, and niece Elizabeth have predeceased him, Donnie's love for his family was boundless, and his memory will forever unite them. Donnie was also preceded in death by his grandparents, JT and Betty Parker, and Frank and Cora Blevins, whose love and values he carried throughout his life. His legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and a willingness to help others—qualities that endeared him to all. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. In remembering Donnie, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives. His laughter, kindness, and love will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him. A memorial service will be held to honor his life, with details to follow. Rest in peace, dear Donnie. Your spirit lives on in our memories and hearts, forever cherished and never forgotten.
