In Loving Memory

Donald Lee Drenon
July 2, 1976 — April 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Lee Drenon, a loving father, cherished son, and beloved friend to many. Donald left this world on April 4, 2026, at the age of 49, following a tragic car accident. He was born on July 2, 1976, in Amarillo, Texas, to Ricky and Laura Blevins, who raised him with love and instilled in him the values that would shape his life.
Donald was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve, known for his infectious humor and quick wit. He had a unique ability to light up any room, always the life of the party, and yet, he was the first to offer a comforting shoulder or a helping hand to those in need. His vibrant spirit and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A graduate of Iowa Park High School, Donald went on to pursue a career in construction, a field that allowed him to travel across many states, leaving his mark wherever he went. His work was more than just a job; it was a testament to his dedication and work ethic. Donald took pride in building not only structures but also lasting relationships with those he worked alongside.
Outside of his career, Donald found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman and a skillful pool player, hobbies he enjoyed sharing with his children, Austin, Jordan Ricky, and Brook. The time he spent with them was precious, filled with laughter, lessons, and love. His children were his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them, nurturing them with the same care and affection his parents once bestowed upon him.
Donald is survived by his children, Austin, Jordan Ricky, and Brook, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. He also leaves behind a large and loving family, including eight siblings and several nieces and nephews, who will forever remember his warmth and generosity. Donald was predeceased by his grandparents, JT and Betty Parker, Frank and Cora Blevins; his sister, Sherinda Blevins; his nephew, Kody Johnathan; and his niece, Elizabeth, all of whom he joins now in peaceful rest.
Though his time with us was far too short, Donald's impact was profound, touching the lives of so many. He is also survived by two grandchildren, who will grow up hearing stories of their grandfather's vibrant spirit and unyielding love for his family.
In accordance with Donald's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his memory and celebrate the life he lived. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Memorial Hospital for their valiant efforts and compassionate care in his final moments. Their dedication is deeply appreciated and will not be forgotten.
As we say goodbye to Donald, we hold onto the memories and the love he gave so freely. He will forever be in our hearts, remembered for the joy he brought into our lives and the legacy he leaves behind. Rest in peace, dear Donald, knowing you were deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness and prayers have been a source of comfort and strength.
