Donald was born on January 12, 1937, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to Harry and Josephine Knowles. From a young age, Donald exhibited a remarkable zest for life and an inherent kindness that would guide him through his years. The values instilled by his loving parents, Harry and Josephine, became the foundation upon which he built a life full of integrity and compassion. Donald dedicated his life to his family and community, creating a legacy that will be remembered through the generations. His deep love and unwavering commitment to those he cared for were evident in every aspect of his life. Donald's devotion to his beloved wife, Robin Knowles, was a testament to a partnership filled with respect, understanding, and shared dreams. Together, they celebrated life's joys and faced its challenges hand in hand. Donald was a proud father to his children, Josephine and Harry Jr., who were the light of his life. Although Josephine and Harry Jr. have predeceased him, their spirit and the love Donald held for them remain a cherished part of his heart.
