In loving memory of Donald Knight, who peacefully passed away at his home on August 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 17, 1970, in Germantown, Maryland, Donald was a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ray and Susan Knight, and his dear brother, David Knight. Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Melissa Knight, with whom he shared a lifelong friendship that blossomed into a beautiful marriage on April 27, 2014. Together, they created a loving blended family, raising his sons David, Donny, and Steven Knight, as well as his stepchildren, Matthew Roberts, Shane Roberts, Jaycee, Jayson Roberts, and Madilyn Briggs. Donald was also the proud grandfather to one grandchild, who brought him immense joy. For over two decades, Donald dedicated his career as a CDL truck driver, earning respect and admiration from his colleagues for his hard work and diligence. Beyond his professional life, Donald found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid football enthusiast, cheering passionately for the Washington Redskins and the West Virginia Mountaineers. His love for heavy metal music was a shared passion with Melissa, and together they attended countless concerts, creating treasured memories. Those who knew Donald will forever remember his quick wit and warming smile. His welcoming nature made people gravitate toward him, and he had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel at ease. Above all, Donald was a family man, the love he held for his family was evident in his every action and word. A celebration of Donald's life will be held on September 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Harman Funeral Home, located at 305 N Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember the extraordinary life of a man who touched so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Donald's memory to a cancer research organization of your choice, as a tribute to his brave battle and enduring spirit.
