It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Ivan Martell Bone, who departed this life on March 26, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on October 28, 1975, in the vibrant city of Edmonton, Alberta, Donald was a beacon of warmth and resilience to all who knew him.
Donald was the cherished son of Caroline Kenny and stepfather Ken Doronski. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Vivian, and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be carried forward by his surviving family members and countless friends. Donald was preceded in death by a host of beloved family members, including his brother Douglas Bone, grandparents Gordon Bone and Rachel Burns, and aunts and uncles who each held a special place in his heart: Orval "Bootchka", Phillip "Jazz", Moses "Bully", David "Casino", Vernon Bone, Helen, Iris, Delores, Francis, Maryjane, Beatrice, and Laura. Though he has joined them in eternal rest, his spirit and memory remain with us.
Donald was the proud and devoted father to his children Gage, Jayli, James, Jazmine (Nason), and Toni (Ryan). He delighted in the joys of being a grandfather to ten cherished grandchildren, each one a testament to his enduring legacy of love and family. He also leaves behind his siblings Tony, Dawn, April, Angela, Rose, Quinn, and Christian, who will forever hold dear the memories of their brother's unwavering kindness and humor.
As an uncle, Donald was adored by his nieces and nephews: Santanna, Brayden, Taylor, Danielle, Tobias, Tristen, Elaina, Axton, Charlize, and Charlae. He was a mentor and guide, sharing his wisdom and joy for life with each of them.
Donald was a man who knew the meaning of friendship. He shared a special bond with friends who became family, including Shona (Logan), Chris (Leslie), Leanne, and Biggy. Through them, his laughter, stories, and adventures will live on, cherished in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Throughout his life, Donald was known for his generous spirit and his ability to bring light and laughter into any room. He faced life's challenges with grace and dignity, drawing strength from his deep connections with family and friends.
