Donald Eugene Jump

April 22, 1958 — August 12, 2026

In loving memory of Donald Eugene Jump, who passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. Born in Fort Collins, Colorado, on April 22, 1958 to James L. and Darlene Casady. Don was a man whose life was woven with rich experiences, and a profound love for his family and friends. After James Casady’s death in 1960, his mother remarried and the boys were all adopted by Jerry Jump. Don was a cherished son of Jerry and Darlene Jump, and he grew up with a deep affection for learning and exploring the world around him. He graduated from Alameda High School in 1976, earning a full academic scholarship to Denver University. However, driven by a sense of adventure and the pull of new horizons, he chose to move to Colorado Springs to attend the University of Southern Colorado. His career path was as diverse and vibrant as his personality. Don initially started an upholstery business, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship. However, his true calling was selling motor homes, a career he dedicated himself to for the majority of his life. Even in retirement, his passion for connecting people with their dream homes on wheels was unwavering. Don was an avid fisherman, finding peace and joy in the gentle lapping of water against his boat. He particularly enjoyed fishing for salmon, though he humorously refused to eat them, preferring instead to cast his line for tuna. His knowledge of various subjects was vast and impressive, earning him the affectionate nickname "Cliff Claven" from the beloved TV show "Cheers." He had a knack for making everyone feel welcome, sharing his insights with generosity and a twinkle in his eye. Don’s legacy is carried forward by his father, Jerry Jump, beloved children, Laura Jump Roy and Daniel Jump, his two grandsons, Daniel Roy and Jacob Roy. He also leaves behind his sister, Cheryl Duval, and his brother, Jim Jump. He is predeceased by his mother, Darlene Jump, and his brother, Ronald Jump, whose memories he held dear. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Don’s life. Donald Eugene Jump will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the way he touched the lives of those around him. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
