It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Donald A. Hopkins, who left this world on May 20, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on July 22, 1960, in Mt. Holly, NJ, Donald was a beacon of love, strength, and resilience. His warm spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Donald was the cherished son of the late Robert and Doris Hopkins. He was predeceased by his sister, Susan Lewis, brothers Robert and Steven Hopkins, brother-in-law Michael Mansfield, and beloved son-in-law, Saquan Smith. Despite these profound losses, Donald remained a pillar of strength for his family, embodying the virtues of love and perseverance.
A devoted father, Donald leaves behind his treasured children, Donald Hopkins Jr. and Jamie Hopkins, who were the pride and joy of his life. His legacy of compassion and kindness continues through his grandchildren, Zayla, Andre, Isaiah, and Ava Lynn Smith, each of whom adored their "Grandpa Don" and will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Donald shared a special bond with his sister Jane Hopkins, and his brother Daniel, along with his wife Lori Hopkins, who were his lifelong companions and confidants. His extended family, including many cousins, nieces, and nephews, will fondly remember his infectious laughter, generous spirit, and unwavering support.
To Donald, family was the cornerstone of his existence. He was a man who loved fiercely and unconditionally, always placing the needs of his family above his own. His home was a sanctuary filled with warmth, laughter, and endless love. Whether it was a family gathering or a simple Sunday dinner, Donald cherished every moment spent with those he loved.
