Don Spencer Lee
April 16, 1951 — June 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Don Spencer Lee on June 27, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on April 16, 1951, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Don was a cherished son of Charles and Evelynn Lee and a beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
Don's early life was enriched by the love of his family and the vibrant community of Saint Louis. His father, Charles Lee, and brother, Rodrick Lee, who predeceased him, undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. He is also reunited with his beloved grandson, Frederico Townley. Don's legacy is carried on by his devoted mother, Evelynn Lee, who survives him.
He leaves behind two loving daughters, Rosalyn Lee and Danielle Lee, who continue to honor their father's memory through their own lives. His sisters, Rosalyn Burse (Mark), Valerie Cheers (Mike), and Debora Cheers (Sam), reminisce about the wonderful years they shared, filled with laughter and the gentle teasing that only a brother can provide. His family extends to his cherished grandchildren, Daezha Lee, Jayla Whitten, Michelle Lee, Justine Lee, Terron Lee, Jerron Lee, Michael Lee, and 15 great-grandchildren, who all brought immense joy to his life. Don's Aunt, Earlene Weathersby, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and an extended family of friends, will remember him fondly.
Don's education was marked by his graduation from high school and his pursuit of higher learning, culminating in an Associate's Degree. His professional journey led him to a fulfilling career as a landscaper with ETC Sales and Servicing, where he worked diligently until the business closed. Don's dedication to his work was matched only by his unwavering commitment to his family.
Beyond his work, Don found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid reader and a fan of western films, finding solace and adventure in their stories. Known far and wide for his quick wit and warm smile, Don had a unique gift for making people laugh, often bringing humor to even the most ordinary moments. As the comedian of the family, he delighted in keeping everyone on their toes and never missed an opportunity to drive his sisters delightfully crazy.
Don's presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit and the joy he brought to those around him will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. As we celebrate his life, we remember a man who lived fully, laughed heartily, and loved unconditionally.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Don's memory to a charity of your choice. May his memory be a blessing to us all.
