In Loving Memory

Dominic Shambaugh
May 16, 2001 — March 21, 2026
In loving memory of Dominic Shambaugh, who left this world far too soon, we gather to honor a remarkable young man who touched the hearts of everyone he met. Dominic was born on May 16, 2001, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and unexpectedly passed away at home on March 21, 2026. His sudden departure has left a profound void in the lives of his family and friends, yet his spirit continues to shine brightly in their hearts.
Dominic was the cherished son of Jana and Brandon Shambaugh, who nurtured him with endless love and devotion. From an early age, it was evident that Dominic was destined to leave a lasting impression on those around him. He was particularly close to his beloved mother, Jana, who he adored with unwavering loyalty. They shared a special bond that was a testament to the loving and compassionate nature that defined him.
Dominic was a proud graduate of Chambersburg Senior High School and was diligently pursuing a career as an electrician. His dedication to mastering his craft was matched only by his passion for music and the great outdoors. An avid guitar player, Dominic's soulful melodies often filled the air with joy and inspiration. His love for hiking took him to the heart of nature, where he found peace and solace amid the towering trees and winding trails.
His gentle spirit and infectious smile, accentuated by the cutest dimples, lit up every room he entered. Known for his giving and caring nature, Dominic's warmth extended far beyond his family, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was a young man of remarkable character, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word of encouragement.
Dominic is survived by his loving parents, Jana and Brandon Shambaugh, his half-sister and brothers, and his grandfather Edgar Seal, who all grieve the loss of a son, brother, and grandson whose life was a testament to kindness and love. He is also survived by his Aunt Jodi Bishop, Uncle John Trey Jones III, Uncle Keith Seal, and cousins Brittany and Cody Bishop, as well as Brianna and Gage Jones. Together, they will carry forward Dominic's legacy of compassion and generosity.
Predeceased by his grandparents, Glenda Seal, Treva Jones, and John I Jones II, Dominic is now reunited with them in eternal rest.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 11, 2026, at the Orchards, where family and friends will gather to pay tribute to Dominic's extraordinary life. As we reflect on the cherished memories and indelible impact he left on our lives, we find comfort in knowing that Dominic's spirit will forever be with us, guiding us with the love and kindness he so freely gave.
Though Dominic's time with us was tragically brief, his legacy of love and compassion will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. May we honor his memory by living with the same joy and generosity that he embodied every day of his life. Rest in peace, dear Dominic. You are forever loved and deeply missed.
