September 21, 1936 — April 26, 2026

It is with profound sorrow and immense gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Dolores Giudicissi, a cherished matriarch and beloved friend. Dolores, born on September 21, 1936, in the picturesque town of Molfetta, Italy, peacefully departed this life on April 26, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Dolores was the loving daughter of the late Sergio and Francesca DiGioia, and a devoted sister to the late Angie and Adrienne, and her surviving sister, Vivian Aston. She shared a lifelong love story with her husband, Anthony Giudicissi, whom she married on March 13, 1955. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and abiding love, sharing 65 beautiful years until Anthony's passing. Her legacy continues through her children, Toni Morra, Linda Naylor, Stephen Naylor, Michael Giudicissi, Michi Seagrist-Giudicissi, John Morra, and Naji Giudicissi. Dolores was a proud and devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Dolores nurtured a successful and fulfilling career at Oritani Savings Bank, where she began as a bank teller and rose to the position of Human Resource Director before her retirement. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike. A deeply spiritual woman, Dolores was actively involved with the Montvale Senior Club and a devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, where she found joy and solace singing in the choir. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life, providing strength and comfort. Dolores had a zest for life, reflected in her love of playing cards and the game of bocce, activities that brought her joy and companionship. Her laughter and competitive spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. A service to celebrate Dolores's life will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, located at 2 Fremont Avenue, Park Ridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Dolores's heart. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at FoxTrail Memory Care in Paramus, NJ, and Serenity Hospice Agency, who provided exceptional care and support to Dolores and her family during her final days. Dolores Giudicissi will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She now joins her beloved husband, Anthony, and cherished family in eternal peace. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.
