In Loving Memory

Dollie Dianne Maytubby
June 26, 1957 — June 29, 2026
To know Dollie Diane (Givens) Maytubby was to know the love of family. Affectionately known to generations as “Aunt Dollie,” she had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Whether by blood or by love, she embraced others with warmth, kindness, and a heart that never forgot where home was.
On June 29, 2026, Dollie peacefully departed this life at the age of 69.
Born on June 26, 1957, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Dollie was the beloved daughter of Nathan Stewart and Jewel Givens, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the ninth child born into her family and shared a lifelong bond with her twin sister, Debra Givens.
She attended school in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she spent her childhood and formed many lifelong friendships. Although she lived briefly in Mississippi, Chickasha was always her forever home. It was the place she loved, the place she always returned to, and the community where her roots remained.
Dollie was first married to Van Maytubby, and from that union she was blessed with four children: Vincent Maytubby, Carmeleta Woods (Kenny Ray Woods), Amy Westbury, and Mia Maytubby. Following her divorce, she found lasting companionship with Wayne Jones, her devoted common-law husband, who remained faithfully by her side.
For more than twenty years, Dollie dedicated herself to the hospitality industry as a housekeeping professional. She was known for her dependability, commitment to excellence, and unwavering work ethic.
Outside of work, Dollie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She especially enjoyed watching westerns and treasured the time she spent surrounded by family. To everyone who knew her, she was simply “Aunt Dollie,” and her warmth, generosity, and loving spirit touched countless lives.
Dollie was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan Stewart and Jewel Givens; and by her siblings, Janice Givens, Jarvis Givens, and Jacqueline Givens.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted companion, Wayne Jones; her children, Vincent Maytubby, Carmeleta Woods (Kenny Ray Woods), Amy Westbury, and Mia Maytubby; her siblings, Joyce Givens, Sylvester Givens, James Givens, Jerry Givens, Debra Givens (her twin), Mary Alice Givens, Everett Givens, and Maria Givens.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Vantasia Mathis, Yavi Sanders, Nathan Maytubby, Matthew Maytubby, Corvan Westbury, Vivica Westbury, Corie Mia Westbury, Lawerance Johnson, and Devin Bunnell; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we rejoice in the blessing of her life. Her love, strength, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
As we celebrate her life and cherish the memories she leaves behind, we can almost hear her familiar farewell one more time…
“Peace Lilly.”
Until we meet again.
