Dione was the cherished daughter of the late Joyce Woods, from whom she inherited her kindness and strength. Her deep bond with her brother, the late James Woods, was a testament to the importance she placed on family. Dione was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Samuel Allen, whose love and partnership she treasured deeply.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Leon Woods, Robin (Thomas) H. Maurice Phillips, and Lawrence Woods, who will forever hold her in their hearts. Dione’s legacy lives on through her five grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her nurturing presence and unwavering support will be missed but cherished by all who were fortunate to call her family.

She was not only a mother and grandmother but a friend and confidante to many. A celebration of Dione’s life will be held on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to come together to honor her memory and celebrate the incredible life she led. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dione’s memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and her commitment to making the world a better place.
