It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne R. Shriver-Sharp, who departed this world peacefully at her home on August 5, 2026. Born on March 19, 1949, in Waterloo, Iowa, Dianne was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth that has touched many lives. Dianne was the cherished daughter of the late Ray and Ruth Shriver (Stou), who predeceased her. She was raised with her siblings, Ric, Andy, Ruth Ann, and Sue, in a close-knit family that instilled in her the values of love and community. A proud graduate of Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, class of 1968, Dianne went on to build a successful career, marked by her entrepreneurial spirit. For 20 years, she was the proud owner of the salon Clypso, where her clients were not only pampered but also treated as family. Her professional journey also saw her as a property manager in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and a restaurant manager at Checkers Restaurants. Dianne married the love of her life, Danny Sharp, on April 26, 1986, in Des Moines, Iowa. Together, they shared 40 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their union blessed them with two sons, Jeffrey and Chad, who were the pride and joy of Dianne's life. Her family further flourished with the arrival of her grandchildren, Faith Skinner, Sevana Skinner, Logen Skinner, and Kaitlyn Murray, and a great-grandchild, whose presence added immeasurable joy to her life. Beyond her professional achievements, Dianne was an avid fisherman and a passionate cook. Her kitchen was often filled with the tantalizing aromas of her culinary creations, which she shared generously with family and friends. Known for her warm smile that could light up any room, Dianne's presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. The family has expressed their wish for Dianne to be interred with her beloved husband, Danny, when the time comes, at the Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa, in the Columbarium Wall. For those who wish to honor Dianne's memory, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization close to her heart, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. Dianne's spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her family wishes to extend their gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
