April 24, 1955 — May 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dianne Edmounds, who entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Center. Born on April 24, 1955, in Columbia, South Carolina, Dianne’s life was a remarkable journey filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Dianne was the cherished daughter of the late Robert S. Edmounds and Eunice R. Wider Edmounds. She was also blessed with the loving care of her stepmother, Sara Edmounds, and stepfather, James Green. Her life was a tapestry woven with the threads of family, friendship, and community, each piece adding to the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Dianne is predeceased by her parents, her sister Breanda K. Domonic, and her dear grandson Timari R. Rivera. Though they have gone before her, their spirits live on in the memories and hearts of those who loved them dearly. Dianne leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by her devoted siblings, Emmaline Hudgson and Robert James Edmounds. Her spirit continues through her beloved children, Dawn Edmounds Hornes of Waterbury, CT, Anglie Edmounds of Bridgeport, CT, and Aaron Edmounds of Tennessee. Her pride and joy were her nine grandchildren: Corey and Roman Watts, Antrell and Kayla Edmounds, Jazmine Hornes, Aaron Edmounds Jr., Taurean Rivera, Akiah, and Asia Edmounds, all of whom she adored. Her heart extended even further to her nine great-grandchildren: Roman Watts Jr., Amir Rivera, Jaire Heard, Antrell Edmounds Jr., Tristan Rivera, Marlo Perkins, Aaron Edmounds III, Knight Mir Gaines, and Tazhir Rivera, who brought her countless hours of joy and laughter. Dianne’s educational journey began at Lower Richland High School in Columbia, South Carolina, and continued with courses at Norwalk Community College. Her career was marked by a deep commitment to caring for others, as she worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant in Stamford, CT, and later in factory work in Bridgeport, CT. Her compassion and dedication left an indelible mark on her colleagues and those she cared for. An active member of her community, Dianne found joy in the camaraderie and spirit of the Stamford Bowling League. Her hobbies and interests were as vibrant as her personality; she loved bowling, playing cards, dominoes, and solving puzzles. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of her delicious cooking. Dianne had a zest for life that was evident in her love for dancing and, most importantly, in the time she cherished with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dianne’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and community. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her. As we celebrate her life, we remember her kindness, her laughter, and the warmth she brought into our lives. A memorial service to honor Dianne's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and her heart for giving. Dianne Edmounds will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
