Dianne Edmounds
April 24, 1955 — May 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dianne Edmounds, who entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Center. Born on April 24, 1955, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dianne was the cherished daughter of the late Robert S. Edmounds and Eunice R. Wider Edmounds. She was also blessed with the loving care of her stepmother, Sara Edmounds, and stepfather, James Green. Her life was a tapestry woven with the threads of family and friendship, each piece adding to the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
Dianne is predeceased by her parents, her sister Breanda K. Domonic, and her dear grandson Timari R. Rivera. Though they have gone before her, their spirits live on in the memories and hearts of those who loved them dearly.
Dianne leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her devoted siblings, Emmaline Hudgson and Robert James Edmounds. Her spirit continues through her beloved children, Dawn Edmounds Hornes, Anglie and Aaron Edmounds.
Her pride and joy were her nine grandchildren: Corey and Roman Watts, Antrell and Kayla Edmounds, Jazmine Hornes, Aaron Edmounds Jr., Taurean Rivera, Akiah, and Asia Edmounds, all of whom she adored.
Her heart extended even further to her ten great-grandchildren: Roman Jr., Amir, Jaire, Antrell Jr., Tristan, Marlo, Aaron III, Knight Mir, Tazhir and James, who brought her joy alongside a whole host of neices, nephews, and extended family.
Dianne’s educational journey began at Lower Richland High School in Columbia, South Carolina, and continued with courses at Norwalk Community College. She worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant in Stamford, CT, and later in factory work in Bridgeport, CT.
Dianne's hobbies and interests were as vibrant as her personality; she loved bowling, playing cards, dominoes, solving puzzles, and dancing. Her favorite game to play at every family baby showers was "Dont say Baby" She won every time.
Dianne had a zest for life that was evident in her love for cooking. She was famous for her potatoe salad, eggplant parmasan, and fried green tomatoes. If you never tasted it, boy did you miss out! She loved chruch on Sunday morning and reading her bible. Most importantly, she cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grands.
Dianne will be dearly missed, may she rest in eternal peace.
