October 1, 1948 — June 6, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Diana L. Schaub, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on June 6, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Dianna was born on October 1, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to her loving parents, John and Viola Boros, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Stanley and John Boros; her husband Melvin Schaub; and her cherished granddaughter, Delilah Collins. Diana’s life was a testament to resilience and love; she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often tending to her garden and finding companionship in her loyal dog Ricky. Surviving Diana are her son John and daughter-in-law Ann Makohon, Irene Makohon and grandson Mathew Hitch, as well as her daughter Larissa and son-in-law Demond Collins and their children Darius, Brooklyn and Evelyn. She is also survived by her dear friends Miriam Robinson and Shelia Wenger both of whom provided unwavering support and companionship. Diana’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Hospice of the Western Reserve for their exceptional care during her final days. In accordance with Diana’s wishes, a private memorial ceremony will be held to honor her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Best Friends Animal Rescue, an organization that reflects Diana’s deep love for animals and her desire to provide them with care and companionship. As we mourn the loss of Diana,, we also celebrate the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration. Rest in peace, dear Diana. You will be greatly missed and forever cherished.
