Diane Welsh

June 10, 1982 — October 9, 2026

It is with deep sadness and tender gratitude that we announce the passing of Diane Welsh, a remarkable woman whose life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and resilience. Diane left this world on October 9, 2026, after a valiant six-year battle with cancer. Born on June 10, 1982, in the charming city of Flagstaff, AZ, Diane's journey was one of strength, courage, and unwavering kindness. Diane was the cherished daughter of Mary J. Welsh and Harley G. Welsh, who predeceased her but left an indelible mark on her heart and spirit. She is survived by her beloved children, Deazjah Wright, Marissa Wright, and Connor Wright, who were the center of her universe and the source of her greatest pride and joy. Diane's siblings—Cynthia Mitchell, Harley Jr. Welsh, Elmay Welsh, and Harlen Welsh—stood by her side, offering love and support throughout her life. Diane shared 14 meaningful years with Brandon Wright, a partnership that began in 1999 and was blessed with the arrival of their three beautiful children. Together, they created memories that will be cherished forever. Educationally, Diane was a beacon of determination. She graduated from Horizante at the tender age of 16 with her GED and pursued further studies at a community college for a year. Her professional journey was as diverse as her interests; she worked at Joans for a couple of years, then transitioned to a dental assistant role for four years, before finding her niche as a customer representative with Harlen and Clarke, a position she held for seven years. Diane's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She adored scrapbooking and indulging in arts and crafts, always eager to learn new techniques. She had a penchant for movies, dining out, and cherished family road trips that created lifelong memories. Her warm laughter, unfiltered jokes, complete honesty, and witty charm were her trademarks, endearing her to all who knew her. Diane was a strong, independent woman with a heart of gold, always caring deeply for those around her. A service to celebrate Diane's life will be held on November 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Lark x Co., located at 1603 E Stratford Ave., Salt Lake City, UT 84106. Family, friends, and all whose lives Diane touched are invited to gather in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, based in Atlanta, GA, in Diane's memory. This organization was close to Diane's heart, reflecting her spirit of generosity and commitment to helping others. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors and nurses at the Huntsman Hospital for their compassionate care over the years. Special thanks are also given to her siblings for their unwavering support and to her parents, whose legacy of love and strength lives on in Diane. Diane Welsh was a beautiful soul whose legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished by those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
