In Loving Memory

Diane Taylor
August 17, 1954 — July 14, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Diane Taylor, who left this world on July 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Diane was born on August 17, 1954, in the close-knit community of New Harmony, Texas. She was the cherished daughter of Willie and Larlindy Taylor, who preceded her in death, along with her son Michael Taylor, grandson Akaedon Harris, sisters Laura Dorsey and Julie Carpenter, and brothers Al Wright Jr. and Charles Ray Williams.
Diane was a beacon of love and strength, who devoted her life to her family and community. She was a loving partner to Curtis Tucker, and a cherished mother to her son Tim Taylor, and daughters Latonia Holt (Kareem), Sharroundra Taylor (Charles), and LaTanya Cooks. Her legacy lives on through her 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.
Diane is also survived by her sisters Theresa Vargas, Sandra Taylor, and Pamela Taylor (Gary), and brothers Willie Taylor Jr. and Lavoris Taylor. She held a special place in her heart for her "special daughters" Kenyetta Dorsey, Gail Hardin, Shanita White, Nakia Myers, and Dawn Holder, who, like so many others, were touched by her warmth and generosity.
Throughout her life, Diane worked in housekeeping and field work, where her dedication and hard work were evident to all who knew her. She had a zest for life and loved nothing more than going to the banana tree and dancing, where her laughter would fill the air and her spirit shone bright.
A service to celebrate Diane's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1429 North Border Avenue, Tyler, Texas. We invite all who knew and loved Diane to join us in honoring her remarkable life and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, as Diane's giving nature and compassion were boundless.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and kindness shown during this difficult time. Your prayers, visits, calls, flowers, and all other expressions of sympathy have meant more to us than words can express. Thank you for being a part of Diane's life and for sharing in the love she gave so freely.
May Diane rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and cherished in our hearts.
