Diane was born on September 1, 1945, in Spokane, Washington, to Ray and Evangeline Barckert, and it is here that her remarkable journey began. From an early age, Diane was a beacon of warmth and kindness, exuding an unwavering faith that touched the lives of everyone she met. Known for her infectious smile and open heart, Diane never met a stranger. She lived her life in a way that reflected her deep faith, embodying the teachings of Christ in both word and deed. Her love and devotion to her family were unparalleled; they were the cornerstone of her life. Diane was the beloved wife of the late Larry Strobel, with whom she shared 57 beautiful years of marriage. They wed on July 3, 1964, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter, setting a profound example of commitment and partnership. Diane was cherished by her surviving family, including her sons Brian (Heidi) Strobel and Darren (Erikka) Strobel, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Her grandchildren, Karly (Chris) Ennis, Emma Strobel, Hailey Strobel, and Ashton (Stella) Strobel, were a source of immense pride and joy. Diane’s love extended to her great-grandchildren, Maverick and Maisie, who brought her endless delight. She is also remembered fondly by her siblings, Lois (Ron) Martin, Kaye (Harley) Allen, and Gary (Miriam) Barckert, who, together with their families, cherished the bonds they shared with Diane. Her family draws comfort from the thought that Diane is now reunited with her beloved Larry and her parents in eternal peace. Diane’s life will be celebrated at a service on July 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Foundations Church, located at 5610 N Ash, Spokane, WA 99208. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Diane’s memory and celebrate the incredible life she led. Diane Rae Strobel leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering kindness.
