It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived and love generously shared that we announce the passing of Diane Mary Bonadio. Diane departed this world suddenly but peacefully on June 9, 2026, at her cherished home in Queen Creek, Arizona, at the age of 80. Born on May 25, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, Diane was a beacon of warmth, grace, and steadfast dedication to family and friends.
Diane was the beloved daughter of John D and Rose M Schaech, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that would guide her throughout her life. She received her education at St. Elizabeth of Hungary School and The Catholic High School in Baltimore, where she was nurtured in a faith-based environment that shaped her compassionate worldview. After a year of business college, Diane embarked on a professional journey with Western Electric Corporation, where she demonstrated her commitment and diligence.
In 1967, Diane married the love of her life, Edward Bonadio. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage, marked by countless joyful memories and a deep, abiding love. Their partnership was a testament to enduring commitment and mutual respect, accentuated by their shared passion for breeding and showing Arabian horses for 15 wonderful years.
Diane was a devoted mother to Martin and Jennifer Bonadio, and a doting grandmother to Zachery Butte, Joshua, and Katia Bonadio. Her family was the cornerstone of her existence, and her greatest joy was found in their happiness and achievements. Known for her modest temperament and unwavering dedication, Diane guided her children with patience and love, instilling in them the values she held dear.
Her life will be celebrated on June 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who attend her ceremony of life or remember her in their prayers. Following the service, a post-internment gathering will be held at the Bonadio family home, 22551 East Rosa Rd., Queen Creek, Arizona 85142, where food and refreshments will be served. All attendees are welcome to share in this time of remembrance.
Diane's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be remembered for her even-handedness and her quiet, yet profound impact on the lives she touched.
