In Loving Memory

Diane Jo O’Connor
November 11, 1957 — April 17, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Jo O’Connor, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on April 17, 2026, at the age of 68. Diane passed away suddenly at the hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Diane was born on November 11, 1957, in the serene landscapes of Minnesota, to the late Daniel and Rosemary O’Connor. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her dear siblings Debbie, Christine, and Patrick; her cherished nephews Jeremy and Joe; and her beloved niece Summer. Her departure is deeply felt by her surviving brother, Mike, and sisters Kelly, Maureen, and Kerrie, who carry forward her spirit of compassion and warmth.
Diane’s life was a testament to her unwavering devotion to family. She is survived by her children, Mistie, Crystal, Corrina, and Elijah, whose lives she enriched with her nurturing spirit and unconditional love. Her legacy continues through her 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Diane also leaves behind a circle of nieces and nephews, totaling 5 nieces and 6 nephews, who will fondly remember her laughter and guidance.
Her early years were spent in the community of Ramsey, where she attended Jefferson Elementary from 1966 to 1969, followed by Monroe Jr-Sr High from 1970 to 1975. Diane was a proud "Sal kid," actively involved with the Salvation Army Youth Center, and a "Ramsey rat," participating in the Ramsey playground activities. Her dedication to community service was evident in her membership with the NYC Neighborhood Youth Group, where she and her peers were instrumental in building the first walking paths at Hidden Falls and Battle Creek Park.
Diane was a loving grandmother and mother, roles in which she found her greatest joy. Her home was always open, a haven filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of home-cooked meals. She celebrated life’s simple pleasures and taught her family the importance of kindness and generosity.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on May 18, 2026, at 9:30 AM at St. Stan’s Church, located at 398 Superior Street. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Diane’s remarkable life, sharing stories and memories that highlight the profound impact she had on everyone she encountered.
As we bid farewell to Diane, we remember her not in sorrow, but with gratitude for the beautiful moments she gifted us. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with the loved ones who preceded her, and may her memory continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.
