The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
Thee Best To have Ever Done It.
In the heart of our home, where love was refined, Momma stood strong, a beacon so kind. Custody taken of siblings so dear, With each tender hug, she'd banish the fear. She raised up her children, their laughter her grace, Grandkids thrived under her warm, sweet embrace. Strangers became family when she shared her shirt, In a world that was heavy, she lightened the hurt. Cousins gathered ‘round for tales rich with cheer, In a kitchen alive where her spirit lives near. Life lessons whispered in moments divine, To love and to care—oh how she'd entwine. Though her voice is now silent, her wisdom remains, In every bond cherished, in joys and in pains. I strive with each heartbeat to fill up her shoes, To honor her legacy—her endless muse. Momma, I miss you; time wasn't enough. Yet your love shields my heart when the going gets tough. As angels watch over us from skies up above, I carry your lessons wrapped tight in my love.
