In Loving Memory

Diana Scoggins
June 19, 1954 — June 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we celebrate the life of Diana Scoggins, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully passed away on June 7, 2026, at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born on June 19, 1954, in Carrollton, IL, Diana was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Marcella (Myers) Kuehnel. She lived a life rich in love, laughter, and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Diana shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Randall Scoggins, whom she married on September 11, 1976. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with warmth and kindness, raising their two beloved children, Tabitha and Richard, and becoming parental figures to countless others throughout the years. Diana's unwavering dedication to her family was the cornerstone of her life.
For many years, Diana devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mom, providing her children with a loving and supportive environment. As her children grew, Diana shared her culinary talents with the community, working as a cook at Dairy Queen and later at Illinois Valley Daycare. She eventually embraced the role she held most dear—caring for her grandchildren, Joseph Randolph, Haleigh Randolph l. Being a grandmother was Diana's greatest joy, and her love knew no bounds.
Diana's life was a testament to her generous spirit and thoughtful nature. Known for her knack for finding the perfect item—always at the best price—she was the person friends and family turned to when in need. Her ability to think of others, coupled with her infectious laughter, brought comfort and joy to those around her.
Diana is survived by her loving children, Tabitha and Jacob Randolph of Jerseyville, IL, and Richard Scoggins, her devoted grandchildren, Joseph Randolph and his fiancée, Morgann Ramirez, and Haleigh Randolph and her fiancee Joshua Kendall, and her dear sister, Connie Collins. Though we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing she is reunited with her husband, Randall, her parents, Thomas and Marcella Kuehnel, and her brother, Richard Kuehnel.
A celebration of Diana's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the beautiful MT Gilead Cemetery in Carrollton, IL. In honor of her legacy of nurturing children, memorial donations may be made to the "Celebration of Laughter of Children" fund at Sonshine Kids Daycare, a cause close to Diana's heart.
Diana Scoggins will be remembered for her boundless love, selflessness, and the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, even in her absence. As we gather to celebrate her life, we hold onto the memories and the love she shared, ensuring that her legacy lives on in the laughter of children and the hearts of all she touched.
