It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Diana Rose Cantù, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Diana peacefully departed this life on March 4, 2026, at the age of 75. Her departure leaves an indelible void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Born on July 27, 1950, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Diana was the cherished daughter of John and Sabina Duarte. Her early years were filled with the warmth and love of her family, and she carried these values throughout her life, imparting them to everyone she encountered. She was a devoted Catholic and continued to have strong faith and hope. Diana was preceded in death by her 1st Husband, Silvestre Saucedo Sr, by her father, John Duarte, and her brothers, Ralph Duarte, Fred Duarte, Armando Duarte and her son Hector Saucedo, each of whom she held dear.
Diana's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. She was the rock of her family, providing unwavering support, guidance, and love to all those around her. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Caesar Cantù, with whom she shared her last 15 years of beautiful memories and unwavering companionship.
Her legacy continues through her beloved children, each of whom she nurtured with endless love and care: Carolyn Saucedo, Silvestre Saucedo Jr., John Saucedo and his wife Lupe, Maria Saucedo, and Veronica Garnica and her husband Fernando. She is also survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Diana's heart was filled with immense pride for her 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren each of whom brought her tremendous joy and happiness.
Diana's life will be celebrated in a Catholic Mass service that reflects the love, light and faith she brought into the world. Friends and family are invited to gather for a Mass service on April 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St John of the Cross Church, located at 8086 Broadway Ave, in Lemon Grove, CA. It will be a time to pray and honor the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her kindness, warmth, and compassion.
The internment of her Ashes will follow the Mass at 1pm and will be at the El Cajon Cemetery located at 2080 Dehesa Rd, El Cajon, CA 92019. Her Ashes will be buried next to her son, Hector.
A Reception will follow at 9144 Avocado St, Spring Valley, CA 91977.
Diana's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of love and strength serves as a guiding light, reminding us of the beauty of a life well-lived. Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the profound impact she had on everyone
