In Loving Memory

Diana Jackson
April 9, 1957 — April 12, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Diana Jackson, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who departed this life peacefully at her home on April 12, 2026. Diana graced this world with her presence on April 9, 1957, in Portsmouth, Virginia, a place she cherished and called home throughout her life.
Diana was the cherished daughter of Elsworth Copeland Sr and Betty Jackson, who have preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sharron Bradshaw, who was her pride and joy. Diana's legacy continues through her three adored grandchildren—Tiara Jackson, TaShara Jackson, and TaShauna Jackson—as well as her four great-grandchildren: TaQuan Pittman, Deasia Ferguson, Diego Powell, and Dasanii Christopher, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Diana shared a special bond with her long-time friend, Benny Wilson, whose companionship brought warmth and laughter to her days. Her heart was always open to those she loved, and her home was filled with the laughter of children—her passion and life's work. For over 25 years, Diana dedicated herself to child care, where her nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on the lives of many young ones.
A proud graduate of I.C. Norcom High School, Diana excelled in math, a subject she fondly spoke of and enjoyed deeply. Her intellectual curiosity was matched only by her love for word games, particularly crossword puzzles, which she approached with the same determination and enthusiasm she brought to all her endeavors.
Diana was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, where she found solace and community. Her life was a testament to her faith and her generous spirit. Whether planting flowers in her garden, dancing with joy, or spending cherished moments with her family, Diana lived life with exuberance and a heart full of love.
Her warm smile could light up any room, and she possessed a heart of gold, always ready to help those in need and offer kindness to friends and family. Diana's presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A service to celebrate Diana's life will be held on April 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Steele Bullock Funeral Home, located at 3950 Turnpike Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23701. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory and share in the love she so freely gave.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to family and friends for their support and kindness during this time of loss. Diana will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
May she rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
