November 10, 1953 — May 17, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Diana "Denise" Carver, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Denise departed this world on May 17, 2026, enveloped in the love and comfort of her family, including her devoted husband, five of her children, and three of her grandchildren. She was 72 years old. Born on November 10, 1953, in the picturesque town of Cortez, Colorado, Denise was the beloved daughter of James P. Spruell and Imogene Spruell. Though both her parents predeceased her, Denise carried their legacy of kindness and strength throughout her life. Her early years in Cortez were marked by the warmth of family and a deep appreciation for nature, which would blossom into a lifelong passion for gardening. Denise married the love of her life, Trent Carver, on March 13, 1987, and together they built a household filled with laughter, love, and countless memories. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, a beacon of inspiration for all who knew them. A dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant, Denise devoted her career to caring for others with compassion and empathy. Her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication touched the lives of countless patients, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she tended to. Denise's life was enriched by her family, whom she adored beyond measure. She is survived by her loving husband, Trent Carver, and her children: Tina Nelson (Chad), Jerry Tevault (Maggie), Chelsea Philpott (Allen), and stepchildren Kedd Carver (Silky), Kamla Del La Hey (Alberto), Kal Carver (Haley), Koyn Carver (Elsie), and Kisha Carver (Rubin Rios). Denise was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 3 beautiful great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply. Whether she was nurturing her garden or cheering on her grandchildren in their many pursuits, Denise found immense joy in witnessing the growth and success of her loved ones. Her garden was not just an expression of her love for nature, but also a reflection of her nurturing spirit and her belief in the beauty of growth and renewal. Denise's legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. Her warmth and caring nature left an enduring impression on everyone she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Denise's life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the extraordinary life she lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a local gardening club or a charity of your choice, in tribute to Denise's love for nature and her enduring spirit of giving. As we say goodbye to Denise, we hold close the memories she created with us and find solace in knowing that her legacy of love and compassion will continue to bloom in our hearts forever.
