February 20, 1960 — April 21, 2026

It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Devante Palmer on April 21, 2026. Devante was born on February 20, 1960, in the vibrant heart of Phoenix, Arizona, to the late Devante Palmer Sr. and Mary Coleman-Palmer. He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather whose life was a testament to love, hard work, and unwavering faith. Devante was a beacon of joy and laughter, known for the ever-present smile that could light up any room. He was a man of many talents and interests, all of which he pursued with passion and dedication. A proud graduate of South Mountain High School, where he excelled academically and graduated with honors, Devante went on to carve out a remarkable career as a self-employed entrepreneur. He was the proud owner of his own landscape and transportation companies, through which he served his community with diligence and care. Outside of his professional pursuits, Devante was a man of adventure and passion. As a founding member of the Soul Brothers Motorcycle Club, he relished the freedom and camaraderie that biking brought into his life. He was an avid fisherman, a creative cook, and most importantly, a man who cherished every moment spent with his family. His love for God was at the center of his life, guiding his actions and inspiring those around him. Devante's kindness and generosity knew no bounds. He was a pillar of his community, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting shoulder. He was a defender of the defenseless, a voice for the voiceless, and a steadfast friend to all who knew him. His spirit of giving and caring was contagious, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Devante was preceded in death by his beloved son, Devante Palmer III, a loss he bore with grace and strength. He is survived by his loving brother, Clifford Palmer; his devoted sister, Betty Palmer; his cherished nephews, Julius Palmer, Deonte Bowman, Clifford Palmer Jr., and Caleb Palmer; and his treasured grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and lessons he imparted. A celebration of Devante's life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at South Phoenix Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory, share stories, and find comfort in the love and faith that defined his life. As we remember Devante, let us heed his family's special message: "Live your dreams, no matter how crazy they seem." In doing so, we honor the adventurous spirit and boundless love that he embodied every day of his remarkable life. Rest in peace, dear Devante. You are dearly missed and forever cherished.
