Derrick was the beloved son of Mildred and Sam Goodman, who instilled in him the values of compassion and perseverance. These values guided him throughout his life, both personally and professionally. For many years, Derrick dedicated his talents and work ethic to the Boca Raton industrial complex, where he was not just a colleague but a dear friend to many. His work was a testament to his dedication and commitment, and his presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Derrick's life was a tapestry of love, woven together with the threads of family and friendship. He is survived by three cherished family members: Elizabeth Shunck, Talonda Davis, and Tyrone Goodman, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He was a proud grandfather to two beautiful grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. Derrick's family was his greatest pride, and his love for them knew no bounds. Though his departure was sudden due to a massive heart attack, Derrick's legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate in the lives of those he touched. His generosity and warmth left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the stories and memories shared by friends and family alike. In keeping with Derrick's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life and the love he shared with us all.
