Denny Jack Gay
March 2, 1968 — April 8, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Denny Jack Gay, a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather, who departed this world on April 8, 2026, at the age of 58. Denny passed peacefully at Colquitt Regional Hospital of natural causes, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Denny was born on March 2, 1968, in Moultrie, Georgia, where he grew up and spent his life surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. He was the beloved son of Judy and Jack Gay, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life.
He found solace and strength in the love of his surviving family, his daughter McKenzie Gay and two sisters, Holly & Denna Gay as well as His grandchildren, two precious lights in his life, brought him immense joy and a renewed sense of purpose.
A man of remarkable character, Denny was known far and wide for his passion for cars and trucks. His eyes would light up with excitement at the mention of a classic car or the roar of a powerful engine. His love for automobiles was not just a hobby but a way of life, one that he shared with family and friends, creating bonds and memories that will endure.
Denny's generous spirit and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He had an uncanny ability to make those around him feel valued and understood, and his infectious laughter was a balm to those who needed it most.
A celebration of Denny's life will be held on April 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Cobb Funeral Home, located on Highway 37 in Moultrie, Georgia. We invite all who knew and loved Denny to join us in remembering a life well-lived, a life filled with love and compassion. As his family, we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. May we come together to celebrate Denny’s life, sharing stories and memories that reflect the warmth and spirit with which he lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Denny's memory by spending time with your loved ones, sharing laughter, and perhaps a drive down a quiet country road in remembrance of a man who so loved the open road.
Denny Jack Gay's legacy is one of love, resilience, and a passion for life that inspired all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered, held close in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
