It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dennis Willgues, who departed this world on 2026, after a valiant battle with a long illness. Born on July 9, 1942, in Cuyahoga Falls . Denny,affectionately known as the nickname Goose to many friends , lived a life full of adventure, love, and service.
Denny was the cherished son of Alfred and Eva Mae (Williams), who instilled in him the values of hard work and integrity. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane, his parents, sister Sharon, and brother Lionel (affectionately known as Buster). Despite their absence, their spirit continued to guide him throughout his life. He is survived by his son Jonn and sister Becky Blackerby, neices Dawn and Shannon and nephews Dave ,Randy and Darrin
A proud graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1960, Denny went on to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Navy. His sense of duty and commitment never waned, leading him to complete a four-year apprenticeship at Goodyear Tire in 1970, a testament to his dedication and skill and leading to his retirement after years of service to Goodyear Aerospace and Loral.
Denny was a respected member of the community, known for his active participation in the Fraternal Order of Police #2207, where his camaraderie and good humor left a lasting impact. His life's journey was enriched by a vast array of hobbies and interests that could fill volumes. From the thrill of drag racing to the tranquility of scuba diving, Denny embraced life with an adventurous spirit. Even in his later years, he found joy and companionship competing in pool tournaments at the Eagles Club, where he was admired for his skill and sportsmanship.
Above all, Denny was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Jane, with whom he shared countless beautiful memories. Their enduring love and partnership were a cornerstone of his life, providing him with strength and joy.
As we remember Denny, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. His legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
