In Loving Memory

Dennis Pearson
September 10, 1954 — April 23, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Dennis Pearson on April 23, 2026. Born on September 10, 1954, in the charming town of Cheboygan, Michigan, Dennis was a beacon of light and strength to all who knew him. Surrounded by his beloved children Denise and Kyle, Dennis slipped away with grace and serenity at Belmare Assisted Living in Oakdale.
Dennis was the cherished son of the late Paul Eugene Pearson and Margaret Helen Mishaga, who predeceased him along with his nephew, Dustin Pearson. A loving father, Dennis leaves behind his devoted children, Denise M. Pearson and Kyle W.S. Pearson, as well as his adored grandson, Wyatt R.K. Pearson. His legacy of warmth and humor will continue through his siblings: brothers Gordon, John, Paul, and Scott Pearson; and sisters MaryLou, Sue Foltz, Paula Mitchell, and Stacy Phader. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends who enriched his life immeasurably.
Dennis shared a wealth of fond memories with his dear friends Dave Nazzisi, Nick Nazzisi, Mike Panzeca, Pat and Rhonda Rose, Jim Odom, Rick Gilbert, and Carol Swanson. These friendships, alongside his close-knit family, were a source of joy and laughter throughout his life.
Married on March 28, 1980, Dennis and Cheryl Talley shared 41 years of marriage, raising two wonderful children together before parting ways in 2021. Despite life’s changes, their shared love for their children and grandson remained steadfast.
Dennis's career was as diverse as his interests. He began building race tracks for Harrold Murrell at the tender age of 17, a calling that ignited his lifelong passion for racing. He wore many hats throughout his life, from tow truck driver and machinist at All Weld to founding All Water Trucking in 1987. After selling the company in 1993, Dennis continued his career as a truck driver for Chevron, retiring in 2011. But retirement didn't keep him away from the dirt he loved; he founded Dirt Productions in 2012, crafting motorcycle race tracks for American Flat Track across the country. His crowning achievement was the Sacramento Mile, a project with promoter Steve Delorenzi.
Dennis was a high school graduate who found spiritual solace with the guidance of Pastor Terry in Copperopolis. Known affectionately as Mr. Sunshine, Dennis had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand to a friend in need. His grouchy demeanor was well-known and loved by those close to him, and his mischievous spirit was evident in his joy of spraying those who dared to tread on his race tracks.
More than anything, Dennis loved spending time with his grandson Wyatt and fishing. But the true love of his life was racing, his dedication to his race tracks unmatched. His tracks were his mistress, and their care and preparation brought him immense pride and joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at The Almond Pavilion. Dennis’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who were a part of his journey. Thank you for the cherished memories and for joining us to celebrate the remarkable life of Dennis Pearson.
In honoring Dennis’s memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and adventure. His spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
