Born on December 18, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, Dennis lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. Dennis was the cherished son of Donald W. Grady and Miriam Bella Grady, both of whom predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his beloved partner, Peggy, who now awaits him on the other side of the rainbow bridge, alongside their cherished dog, Wolfie. A proud veteran, Dennis served his country with honor in the United States Army with the 2nd Platoon at Fort Ord, California. His dedication to service was a testament to his character and commitment to the values he held dear. Dennis is survived by his loving children, Cassidy Grady and Ryan Grady, who were the light of his life. His sisters, Donna Grady Juergens and Dori Grady Bishop, will continue to hold him dear in their hearts. He was the proud grandfather of five, including Morgan Scott, Paige Scott-Brenneck, Gunnar Scott, Sierra Smith, and Kinsley Grady, and the great-grandfather to nine wonderful great-grandchildren: Maison, Taylah, Paizley, Khysen, Laken, Rixon, Waylon, Tulip, and Jaidyn. Dennis was a man of many passions. He was an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular devotion to baseball and the Dodgers. His love for the game was infectious, often recounting fond memories of taking his children, Cassidy and Ryan, to Derks Field to watch minor league games. This love of baseball extended to his great-grandchildren, whose videos of them playing the sport brought him immense joy. Dennis also excelled in golf, earning numerous awards and accolades over the years. In his retirement, Dennis enjoyed the simple pleasures of life in California, surrounded by his animals, including dogs Sadie and Rocky, Boris the tortoise, and many turtles and fish. He was a dedicated member of the Resurrection Beach Congregation, where his kindness and compassion touched many lives. Dennis was a storyteller, a man who shared wisdom and laughter with those around him. His tales were filled with humor and life lessons, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of hearing them. His love for playing the lottery with his grandson Gunnar was a testament to his hopeful spirit and belief in the possibilities of life. Dennis will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his deep love for family and friends, and his profound connection to nature and the animal kingdom. His legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
