Wroe, who left this world peacefully on April 11, 2026, at the Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas, after valiantly facing a battle with cancer. Dennis was born on March 4, 1947, to Harold (Red) and Vivian Wroe, who instilled in him the values of resilience, love, and dedication that he carried throughout his life.
Dennis was a man of great strength and character, deeply committed to his family and country. His service in the United States Army during World War II was a testament to his unwavering bravery and patriotism. His experiences in the military forged a spirit of discipline and camaraderie that he carried into every aspect of his life.
After his honorable service, Dennis found his calling in the automotive industry, where he spent many years as a dedicated car salesman. His genuine nature and ability to connect with people made him a trusted figure in the community. Later, he transitioned to a role as a security guard at the refinery in McPherson, Kansas, where he was known for his steadfast dedication and watchful eye.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dennis was an avid hunter, finding peace and joy in the great outdoors. His passion for the natural world was a reflection of his adventurous spirit and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Dennis was above all a devoted family man. He was the beloved father of Brice and Christina Wroe and Holly Sticka, whose lives were enriched by his wisdom and love. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Angel Sticka and Carlo Earl, Paris Jade Sticka, Julia and Jonah Blake, and Jaxon Thompson, as well as his great-grandchildren, Stanley Moore, Lilanya Earl, Abigail Earl, Kaelani Dyson, and Jean Blake. To them, he was not just a grandfather but a guiding light, offering unconditional love and support.
Dennis’s life was a tapestry woven with love, courage, and generosity. He was known for his warm heart and a quick smile, always ready with a kind word or helping hand. His presence in the lives of those who knew him was a gift, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength that will be forever cherished.
In honoring Dennis’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life, gathering close family and friends to remember the man who touched so many hearts.
As we say goodbye to Dennis, we hold on to the memories of a life well-lived and a love that continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew him.
