Dennis High, born on October 13, 1963, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, passed away at the age of 62 due to a heart attack. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Dennis was the cherished son of Donna Rotz and is predeceased by his beloved Kimberly Foltz. As a single father, Dennis dedicated his life to raising his three remarkable children: Denny High, Pamela High, and Megan Downey. He was also a proud and doting grandfather to his two grandchildren, Hayven and Damien Downey, who knew him as their loving "Papa." A graduate of Carlisle High School, Dennis spent 42 years as a construction worker, a career he adored. He found joy in building new homes and offering a helping hand to anyone in need along the way. His work was not just a job but a calling—a way to give back to his community. Dennis was known for his ability to light up a room with his captivating smile and his role as the family jokester. His laughter was contagious, and he had an uncanny ability to make anyone smile, even on their darkest days. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds; he was always ready to lend a helping hand and spread warmth to everyone he encountered. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dennis's true passion lay in the time spent with his family. He relished every moment with his children and grandchildren, creating memories filled with love and laughter. His devotion to his family was unparalleled, and his legacy of love will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind. Dennis’s family will honor his wishes with a private celebration of life at his home on Tuesday, June 16th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal funeral service will be held. He wanted to be remembered for the joyful life he led, surrounded by those he loved.
