It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Dennis Copeland, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, on May 29, 2026. Born on June 13, 1968, in Voorhees, New Jersey, Dennis was the cherished son of Ruthann and James Copeland. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion to those he held dear. Dennis served his country with honor as a veteran of the Gulf War, exemplifying bravery and dedication. His experiences in the service shaped his character, instilling in him a deep sense of duty and compassion for others. After his military service, Dennis dedicated ten years to the construction industry, where his hard work and attention to detail were greatly admired by his colleagues. A man of diverse interests, Dennis found joy in the simplicity of life. He was an avid fisherman, often finding peace and tranquility on the water, casting a line and sharing stories with friends and family. His love for cars and NASCAR fueled many spirited conversations and brought him close to a community that shared his passion. Dennis was known far and wide for his kindness and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his devoted sister, Kelli Copeland, and his caring brother, Daniel Copeland. His legacy of warmth and generosity lives on through his beloved nieces, Emily Copeland, Ella Copeland, and Olivia Cleveland, who will forever cherish the memories of their dear uncle. Dennis's bond with his cousins and extended family members was a testament to his love of family, which always came first in his heart. In honor of Dennis's memory and his commitment to helping others, the family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Dennis's life at a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Church of Hope in Asheville, NC. The funeral services will be held privately, as per the family’s wishes. Dennis Copeland will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will continue to illuminate the lives of those who knew him. As we remember him, let us carry forward the lessons of kindness, dedication, and love that he so effortlessly embodied.
