Dennis Brough, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and veteran, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, at the age of 90, at the Brookdale Assisted Living facility in Cape Coral, Florida. Born on June 17, 1936, in Albany, New York, Dennis lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love. Dennis was the cherished son of Dennis R and Pauline Brough. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Charles and William Brough, his sister Barbara Brough, and his devoted wife, Sandy Brough. He leaves behind his loving children, Dennis, Robert, and Daniel Brough, as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry his legacy forward. A proud US Army Paratrooper, Dennis served his country with honor and distinction. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career as an ironworker and business owner, demonstrating a tireless work ethic and a commitment to excellence that inspired everyone around him. Dennis was an active member of several organizations that reflected his interests and values, including the Moose, Elks, VFW Post, and the American Legion. These affiliations were a testament to his love for community and his unwavering support for fellow veterans and friends. His family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and management at Brookdale Assisted Living for the exceptional care and compassion they provided during his time there. Their kindness and dedication brought comfort to both Dennis and his family.
