Denise Ann Miller, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 29, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas, Denise was the cherished daughter of Robert and Gloria Miller.
Denise grew up in a warm and loving household, guided by the nurturing hands of her parents. She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1974, where she was known for her vibrant spirit and compassionate nature. Her journey in life was marked by a dedicated career of over 40 years at Hallmark Cards, where her attention to detail, persistence, and playful attitude left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
A woman of simple pleasures, Denise found joy in everyday moments. She had an unabashed love for shopping, which she often referred to as her favorite pastime. Her fondness for scary movies, good donuts, and frozen coffee drinks brought a smile to those around her. Denise also had a unique ability to find comfort in the little things, like sleeping on the couch.
Denise’s family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her devoted son, Justin Miller, and his wife, Amanda. Her granddaughters, Ella and Harlow, were the light of her life, bringing her endless joy and pride. She leaves behind her loving father, Robert Miller, and her sisters, Doris Falcone and Diane Harding, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her dearly. Denise is reunited in eternal peace with her mother, Gloria Miller, and her brother, David Miller.
A celebration of Denise’s life will be held on September 27, 2026, at 1:00-3 PM at Hillside Christian Church, located on 900 NE Vivian Rd in Kansas City, Missouri. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor the beautiful life she lived and the indelible mark she left on everyone she met.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Denise’s memory. Her generous spirit and love for helping others will live on through these acts of kindness.
