In Loving Memory of Demetric Smith It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Demetric Smith, who departed this world on May 19, 2026. Born on September 19, 1993, in Pineville, Louisiana, Demetric was a cherished son, a devoted father, and a treasured friend to many. He graced this world with 32 years of warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith. Demetric was the beloved son of Davetta Smith and the late Frederick L. Smith, who have now been reunited in the embrace of eternity. He was a loving father to his three beautiful children, Honesty Osberry, Demetric Johnson, and Leilani Johnson, who will carry forward his legacy of love and positivity. His mother, Davetta, along with his siblings, Tion (Derek) Turner, David (Jacqueline) Noel, Frederica Smith, Marc Smith, Dimitri Smith, and Keyanna Williams, survive him and will forever hold him close in their hearts. He spent his formative years at Christian Cornerstone Academy, where he cultivated a deep sense of community and faith. His journey led him to Legacy At St. Christina Nursing Home, where he worked as an Environmental Specialist. There, Demetric was more than just a diligent worker; he was a beacon of cheerfulness and compassion, bringing light and laughter to the halls he meticulously cared for. Demetric was a man of simple joys and profound love. With a heart as vast as the sky, he cherished his family above all else, going above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being. His love for animals was a testament to his gentle nature, and his ability to find positivity in every situation was a hallmark of his character. His faith in the Lord was steadfast and served as a guiding light for those around him. Though he is no longer with us in body, Demetric's spirit will forever live on through his children, who will continue to exemplify the love and values he instilled in them. His memory will be cherished by his nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends who were fortunate to know him. A celebration of Demetric's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home in Pineville, Louisiana. During this time, we will gather to share stories, shed tears, and find solace in the community of those who loved him dearly. The family of Demetric Smith extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Every prayer, word of comfort, and act of kindness has been a balm to their hearts. It is their prayer that the Lord continues to bless and keep each of you, as you have been a blessing to them. Demetric, though your time with us was far too short, your impact was immeasurable. You will be missed beyond measure but remembered with endless love. Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully in the arms of the angels.
