It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Demaurion Jaquan George-Scott, a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, who left us on September 18, 2026. Born on December 3, 2004, in Carthage, Texas, Demaurion filled the world with warmth and joy during his 21 cherished years. Demaurion was the treasured son of Demetrius and Olando Washington & Jermaine Scott. He was a devoted brother to Maleighia Washington and Tatiana Davis and a beloved grandson to Denise George and Terry Young. Demaurion was predeceased by his grandfather, David George, whose memory he held dear. He is survived by a close-knit family, including uncles Drew George(Dakota) and David Lee George, as well as a multitude of uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory. Raised in DeBerry Tx, Demaurion attended Elysian Fields school from Headstart through 12th grade, graduating with the class of 2023. A young man with a bright future, he pursued his passion for welding at TSTC, where he was working towards his certification. His dedication and work ethic were evident during his time at Pilgrims Pride in Nacogdoches, Texas, where he was known for his reliability and skill. Demaurion's interests were as varied as they were vibrant. He found joy in playing video games, had a keen interest in automobiles, a deep love for animals, and a profound appreciation for the great outdoors. His hobbies were a testament to his zest for life and his love of exploration. Above all, Demaurion will be remembered for his boundless compassion and generous spirit. He had a remarkable ability to care for others, often putting their needs before his own. His infectious smile and hearty laughter had the power to brighten even the darkest days. Demaurion's presence in our lives was a gift, and his memory will remain a beacon of love and kindness. A service to honor Demaurion's life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Black's Funeral Home, located at 641 East Sabine, Carthage, TX 75633. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Demaurion's memory. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support and love they have received during this difficult time. They deeply appreciate the phone calls, text messages, house visits, food, kindness, and most importantly, the prayers offered in Demaurion's honor. May we all find comfort in the cherished memories of Demaurion Jaquan George-Scott, who touched the lives of so many with his caring heart and vibrant spirit.
