Demarco Lamar Tapplar

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Demarco Lamar Tapplar, who left this world too soon on August 15, 2026, at the tender age of 23. Born on May 3, 2003, in Middletown Cincinnati, Ohio, Demarco’s life was a bright beacon of love, laughter, and kindness. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Demarco’s journey through life was marked by extraordinary achievements and a zest for living. He attended AMIS, where he began his lifelong love for languages by learning Spanish from a young age. His educational path continued at Withrow High School, where he graduated in 2022, leaving a legacy of Tiger pride and a memorable extroverted personality. His passion for cheerleading led him to coach at Withrow, Walnut Hills, and Western Hills High Schools, where he inspired many with his enthusiasm. An ambitious young man, Demarco was accepted into three prestigious institutions: Clark Atlanta University for Nursing, Cincinnati State for Culinary Arts, and UC Blue Ash. He chose to explore various career paths, beginning as a nurse aide at Boonespring Skilled Nursing Facility. He then ventured into the culinary world with his business “Still Servn,” offering delectable brunches, dinners, and slushies, even catering events for high-profile clients like rapper Moneybagg Yo. Demarco’s love for travel and fascination with transportation, from planes and buses to luxury cars, characterized his adventurous spirit. His work ethic and determination led him to obtain a Class B CDL, and he was employed at Rumpke at the time of his passing, having previously worked at White Castle and the U.S. Postal Service. Demarco was a man of many talents and interests. Aside from cooking, he was a gifted barber, known for his “Cutz by Still Servn.” His passion for fashion was evident, and he had a unique ability to light up any room with his presence. Above all, Demarco cherished his family and friends, leaving an indelible mark on their lives with his caring nature and unwavering support. Demarco was predeceased by his father, Derrick Edward McKinney; his uncle, Deandre Tapplar; his aunt, Artesia McKinney; and his best friend, Ja’vae Thomas. He is survived by his devoted mother, Kimberly Tapplar; his brothers, Derrius, Demontay, Derrick, and Dillin; his sisters, Shayeh, Dasani, and Teeyana; and a large extended family who adored him, including his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of Demarco’s life will be held on September 4, 2026, at 10:00 PM at New Life Missionary Baptist Church, located at 6434 Simpson Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45224. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, in honor of Demarco’s generous spirit. Demarco’s vibrant life, filled with laughter, love, and achievements, will forever be cherished by those who knew him. Though his time with us was brief, his impact was profound and his memory will live on in the hearts of all he touched.
