Delores, a cherished soul, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026, at Borgess Villa Rehabilitation Center. Born in the warm embrace of Ponchatoula, Louisiana on August 14, 1942. She was the beloved daughter of Polite Barze and Dottie Mae Andrews. Delores was a beacon of love and strength, illuminating the lives of her family with her gentle spirit and unwavering faith. Her life was a testament to the power of love and resilience, qualities she imparted to her children: Tyrone, Darlene, Anthony (fondly known as Bubby), Thomas (Junior Boy), and Dottie (Mark). Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren, including Orational (Ray), Shane, Chassity, Tyrone, Marquise, Tadasha (Dasha), Jr (Bookie), Tyrell, Tyshonna, Anthony (Little Ant), Chantell, Thomas (3rd), Katrina, Tretton, Bryanna, and Nazareth, who were all blessed by her nurturing heart. Delores was predeceased by her parents Polite and Dottie Mae, and her siblings Dorthy Mae, Bernadette, Julia, Leon, James, St Clair, Willie, and Caroline. She is survived by her loving siblings Theresa and Beverly, who will cherish her memory and honor her legacy. Her life was enriched by her love of church music, which brought her peace and joy, and her passion for planting flowers, which reflected her nurturing nature and love for beauty. Delores’ garden, much like her life, was filled with vibrant colors and blossoming life, a testament to her care and dedication. Delores will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and her unwavering faith. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
