Delora Mable Miller

Delora Mable Miller, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2020, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family in her cherished home. Born on April 16, 1940, in the small, close-knit community of Mammoth, West Virginia, Delora was the daughter of Emery and Juanita Mullins. Her early years were spent enveloped in the embrace of family and friends, laying the foundation for a life rich in love and devotion. In 1958, Delora graduated from Poynette High School, where she not only excelled academically but also formed lasting friendships. Her journey through life took a beautiful turn when she met Roger Joseph Miller. Their love story began in Madison, WI, culminating in marriage on September 30, 1961. Together, Delora and Roger nurtured a marriage that spanned an incredible 64 years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Delora's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Julie (Mike) Konzen, Susan Miller, and Teresa (Kevin) Sullivan, who were the pride of her life. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Michael, Marie, Joe, Rebekah, Ruth, Brendan, Sean, Dylan, and Mindy. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren, Spencer, Noah, Will, Kaisen, Alahni, Mazi, Colby, Damian, Jaxon, Aris, and Donovan, who were a constant source of delight and inspiration for her. Delora's life was a tapestry woven with threads of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Her home was a sanctuary where family and friends gathered, creating memories that will be cherished forever. She was known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and the unconditional love she bestowed upon those fortunate enough to know her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Interim Hospice for their excellent care, compassion, and guidance during the past year and a half. Their support allowed Delora to remain comfortable and surrounded by her loved ones, for which the family is eternally grateful. In this time of reflection and remembrance, we celebrate the life of Delora Mable Miller, a woman whose legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will remain a guiding light for her family and friends.
