In loving memory of Dellaree Denise Engleton, who graced the world with her presence on July 28, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas, and peacefully departed on August 3, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dellaree was the cherished daughter of the late Samuel and Dallas Sanders and the beloved sister of the late Earl Sanders. Her legacy of love and compassion continues to thrive in the hearts of those she left behind. Dellaree's life was a testament to her vibrant spirit and unstoppable strength. She grew up in a loving family, graduating from Floresville High School, where she first exhibited the quick wit and warm smile that would endear her to so many. An active member of St. John Catholic Church, Dellaree's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joyous and challenging times. Her family was her greatest treasure. Dellaree is survived by her devoted sister, Cynthia Sanders, and her beloved children, Lender, Ricky, and Wayne Engleton. She was a doting grandmother to Joshua, James, Jasmine, Layla, and Jayden Engleton, and her love extended to her ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and pride. Dellaree found joy in simple pleasures, such as walking through her neighborhood, feeding her kittens, and expressing her creativity as an avid seamstress. Her love for the color purple reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life. The family will honor Dellaree’s life in a service to be held on August 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, located at 16438 New Braunfels St, San Antonio, TX 78202. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating her life, sharing memories, and finding comfort in the community she cherished. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Dellaree's memory are encouraged to make donations to a charity of their choice, reflecting her generous spirit and enduring compassion for others. Dellaree Denise Engleton's light will forever illuminate the lives she touched, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
